Benny is a passionate worshiper of Jesus, who's sole mission is to fulfill Jesus’ commission to all believers; preaching the good news, feeding the poor, clothing the naked, helping the needy and showing God’s love to a lost and hurting world.
He has a burning passion for Evangelism and Missions and desires to use all that God has graciously given him to point people directly to Christ.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, where one of his most impactful memories was as a 10-year-old boy, lowering food from his balcony to a starving boy. His joy came each morning when he would run to his balcony to see that the boy was still there, waiting. Sadly, one day the boy just stopped coming. The uncertainty of the boy’s fate was difficult to bear even for a 10 year old Benny, especially in a nation where many children went without basic human necessities and suffering was a way of life.
Benny followed in his parents' footsteps, preaching and leading worship as a teenager and heard God’s call to reach the lost at a very young age. He recalls with joy, the many occasions in which he experienced persecution for preaching the Gospel of Jesus.
After moving to the United States at the age of 21, Benny had the great honor of meeting and being mentored by the late Gospel music legend, Andrae Crouch. Pastor Andrae loved Benny’s heart and ministry and invited him to come work with him at his church.
He has been privileged to work and share the stage with Andrae Crouch, Ron Kenoly, Christafari, Holland Davis (Let it Rise) and many others.
God has blessed Benny with many gifts but his greatest blessing here on earth is his beautiful family. His wife Latoya, who avidly supports his mission, and their two wonderful girls, Mariah and Makayla, who love to worship the Lord with their father while he sings them to sleep at bedtime.
A Heart for the Nations, his debut album was released in 2013 and he is currently working on a new live album, Hope is Alive, set to be released Spring, 2017.
“My passion is not just to sing worship but to be Worship!”, says the gifted songwriter.
“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering.”
